Gluten-Free, Casein-Free Spicy Carob Brownies Preheat oven to 350° Wet ingredient list: 2 eggs 1/2 cup honey 1/2 cup slightly melted organic virgin coconut oil or melted butter 1/2 tsp. sea salt 1 tsp. vanilla
Dry ingredient list:
1/3 cup carob powder 1/2 tsp. sea salt 1 tsp. baking soda 3/4 cup water 2 cups almond meal 1 cup broken walnut pieces 1/4 tsp. cayenne (optional) 1 tsp. cinnamon (optional) Directions: Beat eggs lightly Add honey, cooled oil or butter, and vanilla Mix well Add carob powder followed by other dry ingredients alternating with water Add broken walnut pieces Butter or oil a 13x9 inch pan Bake for 25-35 minutes. Do not overbake. Brownies should be moist. Let cool on rack. Removevcarefully from pan as brownies may be delicate.
